    Water lovers can find many places to take the plunge in Owen Sound, including a salt water indoor pool, seasonal outdoor pool, full-size aquatic centre, splash pad, and beach areas.

    Facilities

     

    YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce Aquatic Centre, 700 10th Street East

    Owen Sound's largest aquatic facility features a warm water leisure pool and a full 25 meter 8 lane main pool. The YMCA offers a full range of programming and professional training. Drop-in programs are available free of charge to Y members, and day rates are available for guests which include access to the YMCA's other fitness facilities.     The YMCA is also home to the Owen Sound Aquatic Club (OSAC), which offers a very active competitive swimming program for children and youth. Visit the OSAC website for more information.

    Harrison Park Pool, 75 2nd Avenue East

    Nestled under the trees near Weaver's Creek in Harrison Park, Owen Sound's only outdoor heated public pool is open in June, July, and August. It is fully staffed with professional lifeguards and operated by the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce.

    An open swim pass may be purchased at the Harrison Park Pool. A seasonal pass may only be purchased at the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce located at 700 10th Street East. A seasonal pass is non-transferrable and a photo must be taken of each individual. A card will be issued to the seasonal pass holder in order to gain access to the pool.  Seasonal passes are subject to HST.

    Open swim: $5 per person or $13 per family*
    Seasonal pass: $70 per person or $120 per family*
    *(Maximum of 5 - immediate family only)

    *For the 2018 season, the price of a seasonal pass will be prorated to 75% of the original price listed above to reflect the shorter swim season ($52.50 per person or $90 per family, plus HST). 

    Private pool rentals: $70 for up to 25 swimmers, $90 for 26-50 swimmers, or $110 for 51-100 swimmers (plus HST). Call the YMCA at 519-376-0484 ext. 226 to book your private rental.

    *Please note that the Harrison Park Pool is now open for the season as of July 17, 2018.

    Good Cheer Splash Pad

    The Good Cheer Splash Pad at Kelso Beach Park is the hottest place to stay cool in the summer!

    Open Daily from 9:00 a.m. to dusk.  NO admission fee!

    Please observe the following rules when using the Splash Pad:

    • Use of the Splash Pad is at your own risk and sole responsibility.
    • All children must be supervised at all times while in the Splash Pad.
    • No climbing on the spray equipment.
    • No pets (except for service animals), glass, rocks, bottles, or other foreign objects are allowed in the Splash Pad.
    • No skateboards, rollerblades, scooters or bicycles allowed.
    • Smoke Free Environment.
    • The use of soaps, detergents or shampoos is not allowed in the splash pad.
    • Be considerate of others.

    Please Note:  This facility may be closed or its use limited at any time because of weather. In case of lightning or thunder, all persons must vacate the area.

    The Good Cheer Splash Pad is provided through the generosity of the Scenic City Order of Good Cheer and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

    Quality Inn, 950 6th Street East

    The Quality Inn features an indoor saltwater pool and a whirlpool as well as a fitness centre. Access to these amenities is free for hotel guests. The day rates for non-guests are $9 for 13 years and older, and $7 for under 13. Call the Quality Inn at 519-376-1551 for further information.

    Stone Tree Fitness Centre, 318087 Highway 6 & 10

    Stone Tree features an indoor saltwater pool and complete fitness centre. Day passes are available for $10 each.

    Club hours are as follows. Please note that the pool closes 15 minutes before the closing times shown below.

    Monday to Thursday  6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

    Friday                            6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

    Saturday                       8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Sunday                          8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
