PAINTING URBAN LANDSCAPE

Whether you travel and you want to paint cityscapes from around the world or you want to represent our own small town character, this class will give you the tools to paint your memories. Kim Atlin will start off with some warm up exercises and instruction in perspective and light. After lunch you will choose a streetscape to work up as a larger painting. Reference material of local landmarks and streetscapes will be provided DATES & TIMES SAT MAY 9th 10:00am to 3:00pm YOUR TUTOR Kim Atlin Raised in rural Ontario, Kim moved to Toronto to attend the Ontario College of Art and Design and stayed. Recently re-locating from Toronto to Owen Sound, Kim's fascination with the colours and textures of the world has kept her and her brush wandering. Kim is a frequent exhibitor in group shows in Toronto, Ontario; Saint John, New Brunswick; New York City, New York; Palm Desert, California; as well as numerous other locations. Her most recent solo shows have taken place at the Bugera Matheson Gallery and the Parts Gallery. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING Canvas no bigger than 16x20 A selection of brushes Acrylic Paints (suggestions) Ultramarine, French, Phthalo, or Cerulean Blue Cadmium, Pyrrole, or Napthol Red Light Cadmium, Bismuth, or Arylide (Hansa) Yellow Lite or Deep Titanium White and Black Good quality brushes, small, medium and large (flats, filberts, and/or liners/riggers) ACCESSIBILITY Wheelchair accessible
