Owen Sound Salmon Tour

Experience one of Owen Sound’s most remarkable fall traditions with the free, self-guided Salmon Tour.

Walk, cycle or drive the route as it follows the Sydenham River from Owen Sound’s harbour through the River District, past the Mill Dam and Harrison Park, and onward to Inglis Falls. Along the way, enjoy riverside trails, colourful fall scenery and opportunities to watch Chinook salmon travelling upstream.

The salmon run is weather-dependent and typically takes place from mid-September to mid-October. There is no scheduled event, registration or designated start time — simply choose your route and explore at your own pace.
