LEVEL 2 CLAY - 5 SESSION
Clay 1 is a prerequisite. The ability to centre a pot and consistently throw a cylinder with intention is MANDATORY. Clay 2 is a continuation of the Clay 1 introductory course where techniques will be expanded on. Participants will be learning how to increase the size of their work while maintaining control of the clay. Bowl forms will be introduced. Techniques for refining and finishing vessels will help to increase the success rate of throwing. Trimming and glazing will be reintroduced and reinforced. Additions like handles will be included in level 2. A maximum of 5 pieces will be saved and fired, additional pieces may be kept at a cost of $10/ piece. The last class will be a glazing session. If you miss the glaze class, the instructor will glaze your work for you. We are unable to accommodate makeup dates for missed sessions. She has been teaching high school at Bruce Peninsula District School most of her career. She is so pleased to share her love of pottery at the Owen Sound Artist Co-op Workshop.
