Teddy Bear Picnic
The Teddy Bear Picnic is an opportunity to wish farewell to summer while preparing for back to school. Each year, a long list of child and youth agencies attend to provide information on their supports and services. Each one comes with a fun activity for children and youth. Additionally, the pavilion is PACKED with activities such as the Home Depot Children's Workshop, walk around characters, a raffle draw, a colouring table, facepainting, lemonade and therapy dogs. Again this year, we will be offering a BBQ with support from Food 4 Less and the Bread Depot, with help from the master BBQ'ers of the Knights of Columbus. The Owen Sound Police Services Youth in Policing Initiative students will be on hand to help run games as well as providing the use of the BBQ. The main stage will feature puppet shows, music and interactive activities. To stay updated on all the businesses, agencies and activities, follow our Facebook event. St. John Ambulance will be on hand to keep us all safe. All you need to attend is a picnic blanket and your teddy bear.
