One of the top five places in the country to retire And then there’s our own moniker, “The Scenic City,” reflecting our geographic niche at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment, in a river valley hugging the shores of clean, clear Georgian Bay.

Free music and movies are back in Owen Sound on Friday nights from July 16 to Aug. 6. Head to Kelso Beach to hear great local musicians and view family-themed movies under the stars.

Bring family and friends for a weekend of music, art, cultural exhibits, speakers, storyboards, crafts, children’s games and genealogical forums to celebrate the journey of our ancestors, at the Underground Railroad’s most northern terminus.
