Perhaps fitting for a city with "Sound" in its very name, the live music scene in Owen Sound is thriving. The musical community here - both in talent and in appreciation - has always punched above its weight, but in recent years an explosion of young talent, new venues, and festivals and events drawing large audiences is resulting in a vibrancy one would have trouble finding even in the biggest cities.
Whether you like jazz, classical, folk, blues, rock, country, traditional, alternative, or experimental, independent or major artists, you will find it in Owen Sound or nearby. You can also join in! Traditional music sessions, open mic nights, songwriters' circles, and jam nights are all part of the mix here.

There are several music festivals and concert series taking place around the City of Owen Sound each year, such as the Grey County Kiwanis Festival of Music, Music at the Market, TD Harbour Nights Concert Series, Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival, and the SweetWater Music Festival. FALL/WINTER HOURS & LOCATION:
From October (Thanksgiving weekend) to May (Victoria Day long weekend), Visitor Services is available at City Hall, 808 2nd Avenue East. City Hall is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
SPRING/SUMMER HOURS & LOCATION:
From May (Victoria Day weekend) to October (Thanksgiving weekend) Visitor Services are available at the Visitor Centre, 1155 1st Ave West. It is open 7 days a week: Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and weekends 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Check online for changes to hours due to Covid-19.
